About Felicia
Felicia Sims MSN, MS ED., APRN, FNP-C is the creator of Community Health Specialists, LLC. Located in Gainesville Fl
She began her career as a certified nursing assistant in 1995 as she graduated from high school. She later decided to go back for LPN then RN. Afterwards, she was eager to learn more so, she went to Chamberlain University and obtain her BSN and two Master’s degree. One in Nursing education and the other as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has taught the accelerated ADN-BSN class at the University of Florida. She has worked in the home health, assisted living facilities, rehabs, prisons, and hospital settings. She is a true Gator that has over 27 years of healthcare experience.

She is licensed in the State of Florida to diagnosis patients, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications. Having such exceptional direct access to your doctor will prevent hospitalizations and specialty referrals in most cases. When referrals are needed, we will work with your hospitalist during the hospital stay to meet your needs. Depending on the level of care and the expertise required, we may rely on those specialized caregivers to manage your treatment.
